ARCHIVED: Why does my AV Macintosh crash when I select "About This Macintosh..." or "About This Computer..." from the Apple menu?

There is an incompatibility between AV Macintosh and BeHierarchic, the
Control Panel device which produces the nice multi-level Apple
menu. Every item in the Apple menu is speakable, and the hierarchical
structure produced by BeHierarchic apparently confuses speech
recognition, resulting in a system crash. To remedy this problem, from
the Control Panels
folder, remove your current version of
BeHierarchic and install the latest version (which does not have this
problem).
