In installations of Symantec/Norton AntiVirus Corporate Edition (SAV/NAV CE) from a Symantec AntiVirus server, the SAV icon might not appear in the client computer's system tray. Although SAV is enabled on the client, it does not appear in the system tray by default. If you would like the icon to appear, you must change the settings on the SAV server. To do this:

  1. Open the Symantec System Center Console from your server.
  2. Double-click your group.
  3. Right-click the name of your server computer and, from the pop-up menu, select All Tasks.
  4. Select Symantec AntiVirus, then Client Administrator Only Options....
  5. Check the item Show Symantec AntiVirus icon on desktop, and then click OK.
  6. Click Console, and then click OK.

The icon will now appear in the system tray of all the workstations connecting to the server.
