AVIDD (Analysis and Visualization of Instrument-Driven Data) was a distributed computing facility at Indiana University, with facilities at IU Bloomington, IUPUI, and IU Northwest. AVIDD was removed from service on Tuesday, September 4, 2007. AVIDD is replaced by Quarry, a seven teraFLOPS system that provides a general-purpose Unix computing environment for academic and instructional use. For more, see ARCHIVED: Getting started on Quarry
