ARCHIVED: If I accidentally delete my RFS data, can I request that my data be restored?

If you accidentally delete data in your Research File System (RFS) space, you can request a restore for $15. At Indiana University Bloomington, contact the UITS Support Center at 812-855-6789, or send email to ithelp@iu.edu. At IUPUI, send email to the same address, or phone the UITS Support Center at 317-274-4357. However, the read-only 1day-backup directory in your RFS space allows you to restore a file deleted accidentally since the last system backup was performed (usually the previous night).

Note: The deleted file will not be retained when the folder is backed up at the end of the twenty-four hour cycle. If you wish to restore a document, you should copy it from the 1day-backup folder before the next system backup is performed and the file is lost.
