Use Mobile Print

On this page:

Any member of the IU community with a valid and active CrimsonCard may send jobs to the university-wide secure release print queues. Mobile Print lets you submit any supported document type to these queues using most major web browsers.

You may release your print jobs at any public student device. For information on printing fees, see print pricing.

Upload a document

  1. Access the Mobile Print website at
  2. Select IU Login.
  3. Below the black menu bar, select Upload.
  4. Locate and select your file. After processing, it will appear in the table.
  5. Select the file's checkbox on the left side of the screen.
  6. Customize and preview your file; refer to the next section.
For color documents with more than a single page, Mobile Print defaults to double-sided and monochrome output. You may adjust this using the "Print options" section.
  7. Go to a convenient public printer and release the job.

Customize and preview your print job options

UITS recommends always previewing your output before releasing your job.
  1. Access the Mobile Print website at
  2. Select IU Login.
  3. Confirm that the file you uploaded is shown in the table. Select the file's name.
  4. On mobile browsers, select the Print options tab if needed.
  5. Change the print options as needed for your job.
  6. On desktop or laptop computers, select the page icon in the "Print Preview" column. On mobile browsers, select Preview. A pop-up will appear on both platforms.
  7. Below the visual preview, there will be text describing your print job's properties. Confirm these properties are correct. Do not rely solely on the visual preview.

    For example:

Black & White, Double-sided, 1 page per side, 2 copies, Page range 1-5

Color, One side only, 1 page per side, 5 copies, Page range 1
